Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue responds to emergency medical calls for service with a staff of Colorado State-Certified First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Paramedics. Career staffing allows for at least two personnel to respond to any emergency; however, volunteer firefighters/EMS providers frequently assist by increasing both the number of personnel and the number of apparatus that may respond to a call.
When a medical emergency is called in to 911, Bennett-Watkins Fire responds with an ambulance, at a minimum. An Engine may respond as well if staffing allows. This allows more people to respond to a call initially, rather than calling for additional help later on. Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue hired its first Paramedic in 1992 to provide EMS care to its citizens. Since then the District has been committed to providing the best care possible to the area. The ambulances provided are Advanced Life Support capable and are equipped with state of the art equipment in order to provide the most advanced life saving techniques and procedures available to the area.
Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue (the "District") is committed to ensuring that its services are accessible to all
members of the public. As part of this commitment, the District strives to provide an accessible website compatible with
the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, AA, and commercial screen reading software. Features of the
website are created to allow individuals with vision and other impairments to understand and use the website to the same
degree as someone without disabilities.
