Notice of Board Vacancy – Update

In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S.) § 32-1-808, notice was given that a vacancy existed on the Board of Directors for the Bennett-Watkins Fire Protection District No. 7. The deadline to submit Letters of Interest was October 29, 2025, and all submissions were received and reviewed.

Following the application and interview process, the Board of Directors has selected a qualified individual to fill the vacancy. The appointment was considered and finalized at the Board’s regular meeting held on January 8, 2026. The selected individual has formally accepted the appointment and will serve in accordance with applicable statutes and District policies.
